Perfect eComStation -- FileOpenContainer with preview

a replacement for the stone age "file open" and "file save" dialogs. There should be features like 'make directory', 'open wps folder object', 'make directory favorite', 'switch to favorite directory', 'delete file', 'delete directory' etc.
This should be well integrated into the os, so hat old applications use this new dialog automatically.

If it could URLs as well as filesystems, this would be great. Well this might be too much effort to handle, and netdrive does the job aswell.

I think preview should be implemented through a plugin interface, so a third party could add preview of new document types (see what has been done for OpenOffice).

of course a preview pane would be great!

But my suggestion for perfect eCs was more to implement some standard file/directory functions to this dialog, so the subject isn't 100% right . Do you add these features aswell as the preview?

For my daily usage a new FileOpenContainer or FileSaveContainer (for example link-targets from browser) should contain "Create new dir", "Move to Home-Dir" and a context-menu for each file (delete, rename, copy, move, open).
The most needed is Create-new-dir for downloads. File preview would be nice, but is not as urgent as the other things.
