Получается да. Это, конечно, плохо, но мы же знаем, что "Хорошая ОС" <> "Бесплатная ОС"? Должно быть понятно, что не разрешает сделать ее бесплатной IBM (да-да, тот самый ярый сторонник Open Source, который призывает всех переходить на Linux, а свою родную ОС похоронить).

Думаю, что на самом деле тут все не так просто как кажется на первый взгляд, т.е. IBM бы может и с радостью, но в силу различных обстоятельств ну никак...

First of all: please, in english!.
Second: the suggestion:
I think that the first thing to do is to make a large and centralized database with all the proyects that are there scattered all over the web. The first ones can be those in netlabs.
Every proyect must have a link to join it, with a form where the joining programer can say his/her economical ncessities. And also his/her qualifications. This can function like a Personnel Recruitment.
Also, every project should have a donation link, and a progress bar indicating the donations over the needings for the proyect to continue for one year more.
Also, a suggestion box to suggest new proyects.
I think that the key is "to centralize".

I think, there is no another OS for students, that is not free in Russia (Linux is free and free illegal copies of MS Windows are very poplular in student community)
