eScehems 1.33

Postby cris » Tue Sep 05, 2006 11:16

Hi Yuri,
due to my problems with previous releases, I tried to install v1.33 on a clean system (eCS 2.0 beta2m2). It did not have eSchemes installed.

I have done extensive testing, and here are the results:

- installation: WarpIn warns me that the installed estlrl11.dll is newer than the one included in eSchemes v1.33. I told it to overwrite the installed version with the one in the eSchemes package anyway.

- after installation the "shutdown" and "keyboard OEM keys" objects don't work anymore (they both invoke estyler.exe)

- various programs don't work anymore (popuplog is ridden with traps in ESTLRL11.DLL)

- shutdown doesn't work anymore. invoking shutdown.exe from the CLI it says:

* SHUTDOWN v.1.0 for eStylerLite * (c) 2001 Alessandro Cantatore - Italy *
Failed to get ESTLRL10.DLL module handle.

- in the "appearence" folder the old objects (icon themes, window themes...) are still there

- the "scheme palette" folder doesn't show scheme previews when opened

- schemes don't apply (CPU goes to 99% for a few seconds, then nothing, even trying to reapply)

- if you reboot anyway, you see that the scheme effectively partially applied: it lacks styled buttons, styled radio buttons and styled check boxes. Cursors, colors, and title bar controls (minimize, maximize, etc) are there.

- title bars of VIO windows and of the "window list" window ARE styled, but with wrong colors (those of the previous scheme). Other title bars are NOT styled.

Hope this helps...

Bye
Cris

Hi Eugene.
I am using eCS 1.2 as my primary OS, but I did my test on eCS 2.0 beta2m2, as written in my previous message.

Bye

Please find files: APIEX000.DLL on eCS bootable volume.
Show us the information about every file. For example: APIEX000.DLL - 58 246-05.09.05- 22:36

Hi Eugene.
Since I was doing my tests in VirtualPC, I used an "undo disk" to avoid having to reinstall to do more tests. I have undone all the changes made by eSchemes. Do you still want me to look for all the instances of APIEX000.DLL?

Bye

There's only one instance of that file:

Directory of C:\ecs\dll\APIEX000.DLL
27/09/05 10:03 58.246 0 APIEX000.DLL

The size is the same, but the date is a few days later than yours.

BLDLEVEL returns:

[c:\]bldlevel C:\ecs\dll\APIEX000.DLL
Build Level Display Facility Version 6.12.675 Sep 25 2001
(C) Copyright IBM Corporation 1993-2001
Signature: @#Serenity Systems International:1.2.1#@##1## 20050902
THALES::::::@@Guided Procedures RELEASE
Vendor: Serenity Systems International
Revision: 1.02.1
Date/Time: 20050902
Build Machine: THALES
File Version: 1.2
Description: Guided Procedures RELEASE

Hope this helps...

Strange. Seems something wrong in eCS 2.0. DLLs must be same as for eCS as for eSchemes.
