Postby Robert_L » Thu Jun 14, 2007 20:13

Does the new eCS JFS.IFS support a swap file bigger than 2GB?

No special settings in CONFIG.SYS. I know from old tests with OS/2 installed on HPFS, that the system crashes or locks up when the swapfile size reaches 2GB. This is understandable because the file size limit on HPFS is 2GB.
But what happens when swap file on bootable JFS surpasses 2GB size? Anyone tried it out?

How would you ever get a Swap file as big as 2GB, let alone bigger?

I don't think my swap file ever gets above the initial 2MB (MEGAbytes).
