Проблема с NetWare

Postby ErOs2 » Mon Mar 24, 2008 11:33

Как известно, консольные утилиты netware для OS/2 не работают, если в системе больше 32 МБ видеопамяти.

Скайтеч в СНАПе сделал на это дело workaround:

The Netware client utilities attempt to map all of the video memory into their own buffers; with 64MB+ of
video memory, it overflows, causing them to fail. You can circumvent this bad code by limiting the
amount of video memory reported to OS/2 to 32MB by adding the following line to config.sys:

SET SNAP_MAXVRAM_32MB=Y

This setting will not take affect until after you reboot. Note that the value of the environment variable has
no effect, as the maximum amount of memory will always be 32MB when the variable is present. Note
that this setting does not affect the amount of video memory reported by the SNAP utilities.
Alternatively, you can use the gaoption “vidmem” option to not only limit the amount of video memory
reported, but also the amount mapped into the physical memory space.

Хотелось бы иметь подобный воркэраунд в панораме, так как нерабочие консольные утилиты netware - это неудобно.
