Over the last few days I have experienced several freezes of the system when Firefox (actually Peter Weilbacher's "special" build) and Thunderbird (again Peter's version) are running: clicking on the "Close" button in Firefox doesn't work, and the only way to get it to close is to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to get to the kill processes screen (I have CADH and TOP installed), first kill Thunderbird, then kill Firefox. Even then a Firefox process often remains and there is no way to restart Firefox without rebooting. Thunderbird will run without rebooting first, but the fonts are often messed up -- Freetype deactivated.
The only change made to the system was the replacement of SNAP by the latest Panorama-VESA. Is it possible that this is somehow responsible for this new problem?
