I've tried every ACPI-version on my laptop and always the same problem, USB doesn't work. (shutdown works, but not uptime, batteryindicator and so on..)I saw in a document that one could test to download DSDT tables and load via acpisnooper. I found one for my laptop and bios but that made no difference. When I run pci.exe it tells that "The ROM PCI IRQ routing table appears to be faulty!!". Is it something I can do about that?

Sounds like the same issue I had with my Gateway laptop (also AMD Athlon). I had to add LINK commands to my acpi.cfg to get everything working. Does your acpi.log have errors listed? (at command prompt type 'copy acpica$ acpi.log', then look in acpi.log). Are you running the SMP kernal or W4?

I had some errors in my DSDT and fixed them and loaded the fixed DSDT by ACPI, but in the end I didn't need it.... only the corrected LINKs were needed. Study the 'IRQ Links Found' and 'PCI Devices Found' sections in acpi.log (post them here too) and look for contradictions.... this will give a clue .

What happens when you don't use ACPI?

Mikael.... no obvious problem with the IRQ's... best wait for the next version of ACPI.
