ACPIDaemon.log error messages

Postby Alan Beagley » Tue Jun 05, 2007 17:59

The system is an Asus A8N-E motherboard with AMD 64 X2 3800+ CPU. ATI X300 PCI-Express video.

Everything seems to work OK in SMP mode with ACPI 2.22 using the lines:

BASEDEV=ACPICA.ADD
PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /TMR /APIC /R

I know that on some previous occasions (with earlier versions of ACPI.PSD) the UPTIME.EXE utility has displayed a reasonable figure, but now it just generates:

Error open ACPI rc=65367

COPY APM$ APM LOG

produces a zero-length file,

and the latest entries in the ACPIDAEMON.LOG file are

04 Jun 08:35:01 AcpiDaemon End read E:\MPTN\ETC\AcpiD.cfg
04 Jun 08:35:01 AcpiDaemon Build date: May 26 2007 12:17:02 is started

05 Jun 10:32:40 AcpiDaemon Start addr PSD:0 Start Adr driver:0
05 Jun 10:32:40 AcpiDaemon Error start acpi rc=65367 0xff57

The earliest entries in ACPIDAEMON.LOG are similar. However, there are also the following lines in between:

27 May 15:31:02 AcpiDaemon End read E:\MPTN\ETC\AcpiD.cfg

remove ACPICA.ADD driver from CONFIG.SYS

Return to “ACPI for eComStation”
