acpidaemon 20060909 error message

Postby Robert_L » Mon Sep 11, 2006 12:36

At bootup I get the following error message from latest acpidaemon:

Code: Select all

Can't open acpidaemon.log
?: The file is open
Press Enter to continue...
Btw, there is created a acpidaemon.log file in the root of the bootdrive, with some lines of text in it.

I tried to remove the logfile= entry from acpiD.cfg, then the error message is:

Code: Select all

Cant open
? the file name is ""
Press Enter to continue

How can I avoid those error messages, at least how can I avoid to press enter at bootup?

I do not redirect any output from acpidaemon, and never did.

But how can I avoid the "press enter to continue" prompt during bootup?
Boot process stops until I confirm the error message with enter key.

In case I start acpidaemon.exe not from "run=" statement in config.sys, but later manually from a command prompt, the "press enter to continue" prompt will not come. In both cases acpidaemon.log is written normally.

The error message is gone with latest (Sep 15) APM package.
